Neil DeGrasse Tyson on the Joe Rogan Experience. Very interesting conversation today. You’re welcome. Will get you through the rest of your work day.

Did not know that not only do we have a leap year every 4 years to keep the Gregorian calendar (develop by Monks in 1592) in sync but once a century the leap year must be skipped and once a millennium (every 1000 years) if the millennium is divisible by 400. Aka the year 2000.

What are they talking about?

I've been on a Rogan kick lately......I just finished an old one with Andy Stumpf.

Also recently listened to Dorian Yates, CT Fletch, Mcauley Culkin and Chris Stapleton

How about you listen for the science and not care about political reasons? That’s what the podcast is about...

Neil just pisses me off because he is more of a celebrity than he is a scientist.

Funny story, he posted some pretentious crap on twitter about how the round droid from Star Wars wouldn’t actually be able to roll around because of friction or something, and he was quickly sent a link showing that the droid actually was able to roll around. It wasn’t CGI

I just think people are fascinated with him because he’s a black guy that talks about space.

His twitter feed may indicate he's the dumbest smart guy on the planet. He posts some real headscratchers quite often and sometimes just makes up chit.
