there should ONLY be 2 graduations
high school and college
everything else is the same level of accomplishment as getting up every day, its what you are supposed to do, its not a great achievement that needs celebrating, that and participation trophies so nobody loses, along with time outs and "talks" rather then a belt whipping, is the largest part of the reason kids grow up as huge snowflake vaginas

Kindergarten, even pre k graduations have been around for many years. It's weird that it bothers you enough to shitpost about it.

I grew up in the 70's.
We had a kindergarten graduation, an eighth grade graduation (back when middle school ran from 5th-8th grade), and, of course, a high school graduation.
So, I don't see this as anything new.
Of course, I went to Catholic schools throughout, so maybe it was a Catholic school thing back then that has been picked up by the public schools.

Gen X (1977). Grew up around Chicago, early 80’s was not common to have graduations prior to high school.
Doesn’t impact me much (I’ve had a few bogus parties to go to, but ok). But these things seem more about the parents and have nothing to do with the kids, or even what the kids want. Facebook has probably ramped up the stakes quite a bit, since the most important qualifier to being a good parent is being able to document it on social media. I’m cynical of the whole endeavor (granted, embedded cynicism may be generation characteristic among gen-x’s that’s probably not all that healthy in the long run).

Has nothing to do with being cynical. I had a kindergarten graduation in the mid 80s.
