I don't know if it's exaggerated, as that implies some degree of inaccuracy.

But whether you deem it factually accurate or not, it's a website that proposes gun restrictions seeking to invoke the public's idea of a "school shooting" and telling them that such a thing has happened 11 times in a month.

When the public thinks of school shootings, they think of Columbine and the shooting yesterday in Benton. They don't think of a pot shot from a passing car at an empty building, a suicide, or a pellet gun shooting.

The sources are usually suspect when it comes to these claims. It's nothing new for gun-control advocates to exaggerate the numbers, lying is a basic tenant of their religion afterall.
