Links to a couple articles within. It’s not just the cell tower jumping, the bots on there etc. Were heading for internet bust 2.0

Google analytics, while not 100% accurate, does a pretty good job. In conjunction with cookie tracking, we can get a pretty good read on who’s visiting our site.

It's likely more about the ad rates sites charge based upon eyes. If the traffic data is inflated, so too are the rates. An idea im sure not many sites want ad buyers to know
