While there are legitimate reasons to use ellipsis, most people in 2019 use them to be at least a little snarky. And that’s ok, but to pretend otherwise is just being disingenuous

How is it snarky? It's three fricking dots. People throw all sorts of spacers and garbage in their texts.

"..." following a sentence means that it's an unfinished sentence or thought.

Some people assume that it's you expressing your condescension.

To them, "I'm at the store then headed to your place..." means, "I'm at the store then headed to your place to rape your pets and defile your collection of Fall scarves."
