He can probably find a legally binding eviction notice on legalzoom or something, but it should probably be notarized and whatnot. He needs to look into it but if he owns the house he has the full control.
Please stop

A lot of the advice in this thread seems to contradict what was said in the squatters rights thread last week.

He doesn’t need to do anything “legally.”
Mail her (will be same address) a scary formal letter saying he has an appointment with an attorney to begin the eviction process and she will be responsible for any of her legal fees accrued in the process. She’ll pack up and haul arse.

I have a cousin who is an adult living with my uncle. She doesnt pay rent or utilities regularly but does occasionally help with bills. She has become emotionally unstable and at times verbally abusive towards him. She has lived with him most of her adult life. He has discussed her moving out and she has agreed to a time frame but he does not believe she will follow through. What does he need to do to legally evict her? They live in Louisiana. Thanks for any advice
Rope, Coveralls, cinder block, and deep pond.

In my experience, people who say this are typically lying to cover up their shitty living arrangement and lack of responsibility
I could be wrong, but I see this way too much

My family is in a similar spot. My brothers a drug addict, and my parents are ready to start the process. I'm sure LA is easier than out here in Cali. This will be at least a 90 day process for us.

This is the OT, knowing what the hell you are talking about is not a requirement before handing out advice on here, it's actually frowned upon
