Good god I hate how people think.
I could say the same for you. You're OK with depriving someone that is actually working to make some stupid point.

The customer did not make the waiter/waitress be in that job
No one forced the customer to go have a meal with people waiting on them.
quote:
The customer is not the waiters and waitresses boss. He is not responsible for their pay.
According to the IRS, they actually partly are. Servers have to claim a percentage of total sales as income regardless of how much they take in. And let's not forget that you have to tip out bus boys etc.
quote:
Stop blaming the customers
Why? At this point the only reason to not tip on good service is straight up ignorance.
quote:
Blame the system and the people signing those checks.
You don't have to not tip them to do that. You not tipping them does nothing to help.

I asked for a yuengling, he turns around to the fridge on the wall...which was set up like a convenience store fridge... I could have gotten it myself. Set it down on the table and walked off without saying anything.
I paid in cash when I left. He followed me out the door and told me to not come back if I wasn't going to tip.
You asked for a beer he got it for you. you didn't tip cause he didn't say "Great choice" or otherwise stroke your chitty selection?
Man, That's f'd up on your part, not his..

I never says I don't tip.

So why don't we tip fast food workers?
The customer has money and the business has a product the are selling for a price. The tip is not a part of that price. It's nice, but not a required monetary value to eat at the establishment. It's not their Job to pay their salary

A small price to pay for as much untaxed money they take in every year that regulated wages wouldn't

How is their career choice and the way the business chooses to pay them, their fault? You want a guarenteed wage get a different job

I do tip. But no one should be tarred and feathered for not tipping

That's irrelevant.

Because they earn more per hour and don't do near what a server does. I hope you're not so stupid to make such an asinine comparison.

Nice claim that you have zero way of proving.

My comment had nothing to do with a guaranteed wage. Nice deflection though.

Well this we will fundamentally disagree on. (again, for good service) You have to be ignorant, an a-hole, or both to not tip good service.
ETA: Feel free to have the last word on this. The hypocrisy of you claiming to be a great tipper but making these ridiculous arguments isn't worth my time anymore.

Then why do you keep bringing it up?

Because they earn more per hour and don't do near what a server does. I
Then the Waiters are more than welcome to get a job there
By your previous criteria, the customer shouldn't be allowed to go eat if he has someone waiting on him so why is it not such a terrible thing for me not to tip at Mcdonalds? The hate serving me

Nice claim that you have zero way of proving
Are you going to claim that waiters and waitresses claim all their tips on their W-2? If so

Because you misinterpret my argument. I'm not against tipping. I'm against the outrage at people who don't tip. And the expectation of a tip
You can have a tipping system without acting like non tippers owe you something and should be whipped in the streets

I don't know any bartenders. I'd guess that guys don't get tipped as good as women.

For fricks sake, you are a special kind of stupid son

Actually there is.
Why? It's not our fault the restaurant pays them shitty. Tips shouldn't be expected.
