People that you were close to? If so, have you found a way to manage that?

If you were in the wrong, do you think they would want to forgive you? and if they were in the wrong, have you forgiven them?

My dad had a girlfriend in college who had a jealous ex BF. The ex shot and killed her one night. My dad never talks about it, but I’m sure it had to affect him deeply. At the same time, I can’t say that it was horrible, because if that hadn’t happened, I probably wouldn’t be here.

No. I was listening to an interview with Snoop Dogg taking about Tupac dying while they were fighting.

I'm about $55 into an airport bar tab.

That comment just depressed me into ordering another.

Yeah. Childhood best friend. He became a drug addict, and had been clean the past few years. He was killed in a wreck a few months ago. We hasn't talked in 20ish years. Not a big deal because he was so far the deep end. His funeral was weird because his mom had some pics of us together when we were young.

I could have easily been that person. Had a raging cocaine addiction for over 10 years and I alienated just about everyone around me by the end of it.

Very similar situation for me. One of the inspirations of why I created the thread.

I had a friend that I met on the very 1st day of 3rd grade at a new school. We sat next to each other in homeroom, over the years him and I got into music and drinkibg/smoking.

His older brothers were in metal bands, so by now at 13 I'm traveling to venues and helping set shite up. 2 years later we have our own band and we are doing this. And he was a better guitar player back then than I am right now.

Money issues came up, he always had an addictive personality. We had completely quit talking after legality issues. He killed himself, and the last conversation I ever had with him wasnt positive.

Yes, my sister died recently. I quit talking to her after my mom died in 2018.

Sometimes I wait for them to pass away so I won't have to resolve it.

My mother

I was 14. She took me to bus stop and said I couldn’t do something. I don’t even remember what she said no to. I got mad, slammed the car door and got on the bus.

That night she was killed in a car wreck while on the way home.

I know this doesn't help. But as a parent of a strong personality child, my daughter does this to me all the time. I laugh because she is just like me. So that probably wasn't a big deal to your mom. Sorry for your loss.
