That sounds terrible. I have a friend with a very similar situation, except he was 15.

It changed his entire life, that's an understatement. His relationship with his father took a huge hit. His father began using hard drugs to cope. Things got bad at his home.

He is better now. Pulled himself up out of everything that came from that situation and has a positive relationship with his father. And is currently a one himself after adopting.

Dad passed last year, so many things I should’ve said before he died; unresolved issues from a terrible childhood that I was too nervous to address. Still can’t believe he’s gone and I feel guilty everyday that I didn’t talk to him about those things. Maybe in a way it could’ve prevented his self inflicted demise but I’ll never know.

He may have been in the same kind of boat in ways. I think about what I would want to say or do, because a person always has their own POV. But, he may have wanted to say some things too..just didnt know how to start or where to even begin.

Then that pride comes in. And things dont get said..then while you're reflecting on life after they are gone, you realize how short and final life can be. How unique and 1 of a kind certain people are. It's always almost like a painful irony that so many minutes passed in silence while they were alive..and now, what you would give for just 1 minute to look them in the eye and talk to them.

One of my closest friends was roommates with me in college for two years. He transferred our 3rd year to a school in Texas we did not remain in contact as often as we should have. Later that year (December to be exact) he committed suicide. On my birthday in June of that same year he sent me a birthday card saying how he felt I was the most authentic and his closest friend in our group of buddies.

To this day, I still have that card and from time to time I open it up and read it. I always tell myself that I could have been there more and what could have been done. Time and prayer has been what has helped over the years.

No, his own drug use killed him. I offered to buy his rehab. I'm admitting you're a shitty troll. I mean..there is no form, or real structure.

A good troll is like a skilled sniper. What you are doing, is the equivalent of throwing a handful of 22 rounds in a bonfire, and hope for the best.

Yes.

People that die too young tend to leave wreckage all around them.

No easy answer, you have to work it out in your own mind.

Yes, one of each.

His passing was a decade ago, I hadnt seen him in person for years before. just was going through old music recently and heard some demos that I forgot about.

It's crazy how life works sometimes, forgot all about them but remembered everything about that day when I heard them.

Had an XGF pass away last month from a freaking stroke..Not to speak ill of the dead but she was a psycho. While we were going out she hated that her friends liked me..I didn't have any idea but she was talking shite about me to her friends..To the point of being slanderous. I didn't find out about all of this until after her death. A few people believed her but most knew she was lying. I don't really care for the people that believed her but something tells me I need to get the record straight..fricking drama..

My dad got in a fight with his father about a week before his dad had a heart attack and died. Pretty rough. In a span of 8 months, my dad lost his father, a nephew, his mother, and a brother. There wasn’t enough whiskey in the world for him, for several years.
