Was in Gulf Shores one year and a tropical storm came through.....it was pretty wild. Water was all the way up to the rims of the vehicles parked under the house. After the season was over NOAA actually re-classified the storm as a Cat 1 hurricane. I think the storm name was Bill, but not sure.

Yeah the one in Florida in like 1992 or 93, can't remember which one. Made us leave early, I was 4 or 5 and I'll never forget it.

Yes, hurricane Noel.
Grand Bahamas Island for a destination wedding. It was a great trip. We even got to stay a couple extra days.
Hitting 3 irons 50 yards in to the wind, calling the dive shops every day to see which ones would take us out. Blowing sand stinging the shite out of your legs.
Only lost power briefly one evening but eating by candle light on the beach is awesome.
Oh and the tropical wave that eventually became hurricane Katrina knocked out power on St Thomas during our honeymoon. That happened.

We were in grand isle the weekend Katrina hit. When we went to sleep it was suppose to hit Florida. We woke up the next morning and the island was a ghost town. It had turned during the night and was headed straight to grand isle. We got the hell out of there.

Was on a cruise in Hawaii and we went through a tropical storm. They wouldn't let us outside and waiters were dropping shite everywhere

Yup, when I was a kid. And we helped the hotel put chairs and tables in the pool. It was fun

No but I've been at work in the gulf and once in the Atlantic during hurricanes

Well, the tail end of Bertha crossed the waters and got us all the way over in England/Scotland a week or so ago, if that counts.

We rented a cabin in Grand Isle the week of Katrina. Had to leave the island two days before we had planned to.
