As far as bachelor parties go, $300 is chump change. I'd pay that much not to go.

The very fact you made this thread tells me you are a low quality individual. Adolf Hitler wouldn't deserve to have such a douche in his wedding party. Making a thread on TD bitching about your friend's bachelor party. Unreal.

I actually set one of these up for one. I'm planning a bachelorette for a friend right now and instead of making people feel like shitheads for pitching in less than others based on whatever they can afford, I wanted to give people a chance to pitch in anonymously so we are all on a level playing field.

I'm just going to take the pot and use the money in it for the party. More money, better party. And then the website apparently allows people to post comments we can all see, so bride and myself can read those for suggestions from others without having to worry about shutting down people's opinions face-to-face Highly recommend.

Why doesn't everyone just pay for them self?

That's where I want mine someday.

I actually was considering going for Mardi Gras in a couple weeks as well. Flights are dirt cheap. Would be $900 for flight, hotel, and meals.

Bride doesn't want a party out. She isn't into bars. She just bought a new (gorgeous) home, so she wants it "slumber party themed" like we did when we were kids. We all grew up together. So I am probably going to get it catered. Specialty cocktails. Going to do like a happy hour type vibe to make it more "adult slumber party". I'm fully willing to pay for the whole thing, but she insists on at least giving people the option to pitch in since she knows they'll want to be a part of planning to feel included.

So the gofundme gives us a place for people to pitch in .. and then I can post updates to make them feel "involved" without actually having to deal with people's opinions

I laugh, but then I think about my SO's friends and I pray like hell they decide they want a low key party someday.

Which totally won't happen.

$300 isn't really much money man. If you are in the wedding you should have known there was going to be a bachelor party and started saving.

Because his friends are shitheads and I've seen things I can't unsee I'm kidding though. Mostly. Kinda.

If I'm in Mexico with my girls, I really don't care anyway. Doubt either would be checking in

Cabo isn't really a bachelorette party destination imo. The biggest draws are fishing and partying/drugs. The beaches aren't that great and you can't even swim in the water.

I agree. College or not. Gotta go all in for your friend even if you need to take out a loan dammit.

What about the fee they take? Isn't it about 8%?
