You went out of the country for 8 days on $150?

I am calling bullshite

Even if you stayed on someone's couch you still only have <$20/day for food

Then man up and let your opinion be known. Do some research and make some suggestions.

It isn't your bachelor party, it's the groom's. If you can afford it go. If you can't, don't.

So after reading the thread I get you're doing nothing. But what did the best man plan, anything at all?

Or just stay in an area of town and figure it out from there?

Surely the plan wasn't to go and do nothing on purpose.

I went hunt pigs on a ranch in south Texas. There wasn't a bar within an hour drive. It was 90 degrees during the day so we had to hunt at night, they'd drop us off at dark then pick us up around 3 am

Still in school?? Either you're taking a few victory laps/ started late in grad school or your middle school teacher was bitching at you for posting on TD in class.

Either way...go to the party. My experience is that you usually have more fun going and being with friends, even if you don't feel like it, than you do sitting at home. You'll regret not going.

Flights to South/Central America can be really cheap.

That would be 10x more fun this bachelor party.

Don't keep us in suspense. Tell us exactly what this is going to entail.

Just sitting in a hotel room staring at each other? Have you proposed an alternate suggestion? If so, why was it rejected?

Is the groom some super religious type?

One of the shittiest parts of the state we live in. There's around 4-5 bars and we're not planning on doing anything outdoors.

Is there any rationale behind why this certain location was picked??

No need for super specific details. Basically most of my ideas were a no go because no one wants to travel. That's fair. But there are plenty of other cities we could go (including the city where we're from) that would be much more fun and more inexpensive.

Small city with nothing to do and no outdoor activities planned. The plan so far is "staying in a hotel close to the bars."
