You’re at your Mom’s house on Mother’s Day with your family and you’re posting here.

I’d pay heavy to be able to do the same with mine today

Sorry for your loss. She was walking around with my wife trying to give away half of the stuff in her house so I was sitting alone

I missed this. Screw the Corona.

Sure, if you believe that the only possible scenario is that if god exists, he values insincere prayers. If there is the possibility that god punishes insincere prayers, one should probably avoid the practice.

The current practice, pretty much symbolic.

Is PT filled with people like you that just parrot the latest media talking points while possessing no ability to think for themselves? Nah I’m good, enough of you Karen’s have escaped that place already.

I don’t use any SJW buzzwords. It makes complete sense that you do though.

Make sure you’re changing out your gloves every time you touch something else besides your phone too. Wouldn’t want the corona germs to slide down underneath your mask from your ear.

At this point this is what it should be about, everyone making their own decision.

We're still cautious but no longer 100% isolated.

I think we’ll see a spike again after this weekend

Saw some bad shite yesterday in New Orleans and already seeing Mother’s Day gatherings on social media

Have you ever pissed off of something really high? You notice how your piss stream starts off tight, then fragments, and ultimately turns into a mist? If you pissed into a piece of cloth, that wouldn't happen. Would some still get through? Sure. But it would drop the amount dramatically.

What kind of stupid analogy is this? Is this really what happens when you attempt to think for yourself?

Have you ever smelled a fart that came from someone wearing pants and underwear? How come those 2 equivalents to cloth masks didn’t stop it?

My mother is 70. She has been isolated for a few months and following government guidelines. I asked her this morning what I could do for her for Mother's Day. She asked me to bring my family over to watch church with her on TV so here we are.

She said that she'd rather get the Rona than not see her children or grandkids on Mother's Day.

She made homemade blueberry muffins and coffee too

Different country but I saw a translated newspaper article from Spain, where Madrid in particular has been very hard hit. They had quotes from a man who was 82 and a woman who was in her seventies. Both said that they understood what the government was doing but also said that if this lifestyle was what it took to stay safe, it wasn't worth it. Being locked in a small apartment for all but an hour a week to buy food is not life. You're safe from the disease but you're not living in any real sense. I thought it was meaningful because they said frankly they knew they were the most vulnerable and that everything being done was meant to protect them, but enough was enough. It's a sentiment getting more and more common.

My moms the same way. She’s 72. She said 58 days without seeing any of her kids/grandkids was enough. We had a shindig yesterday.

Academy, Wal Mart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, all packed to the gills yesterday

75% of people wearing mask.

Today people are getting together all over the state. We’re probably going to see another spike in 10-14 days.

The spikes that we have seen over the past few weeks is not because of the activity of the people. It's been because of the amount of tests given out have increased (because of availability). There are (and always have been) a bunch of folks out there who are asymptomatic. I'd be willing to bet if we tested everybody in this thread right now, that there would be some of you who test positive and have no idea that you would have it.

This. Plus a lot of the test coming back lately were from prison systems, which of course had a lot of positives.
