After the growing of the corn, the harvest, the fermentation and distillation, there is no real ecological gain. It did cause some hunger.

Big business is on the teat and will never let go.
In a world if/when we run out of dino oil ethanol is a decent fuel source.

It’s really quite an incredible fraud.

When both parties move the mid-west to the very end of their primary schedules. Until then, we're stuck with corporate welfare because anyone running for president knows they have to fellate the corn farmers if they want any early momentum.

Boosted engines can make some serious power on E85, so there's that for a silver lining

Instead of sending money to poor and hungry countries we could send corn.

Take the ethanol out of the gas and make a new government food program to replace food stamps
Instead of buying a case of cokes and 3 bags of chips they can have unlimited government cola and government chips
And give them their own store so they can’t mess up mine

you want me to explain why ethanol mixed gasoline causes problems for engines? is this a serious question?

If Trump wants a big win, he’d cut ethanol in gas with an EO.

Corn is everywhere, including many things that we eat, so many aspects of our lives that we don’t even think about.
I watched a documentary several years ago, although I can’t
think of the name, but it was some crazy conspiracy shite that made a lot of sense.

You want votes out of Kansas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Iowa and Illinois? You have to ethanol.

Yes, I am curious if you are just repeating what you have heard or if you actually understand what issues exist.

No it did not cause hunger. Corn is basically used for ethanol, animal feed, or exported. We have plenty for animal feed so if you stopped ethanol, there would just be less corn grown. The answer is not anytime soon, we are more likely to expand its use.
The corn used for ethanol is not the corn people eat. It is processed into HFCS though.

We do. Well we did before DOGE cut all the food aid budget.
Posted on 6/5/25 at 5:32 pm to Auburn1968
It killed millions of outboards and small engines

simply, the ethanol mixed gas absorbs water from air. overtime this water separates from the fuel, resulting in damage to the plastics and rubber parts, reduced fuel efficiency, and leaves residue which clogs fuel systems.
does that answer suffice Dad? Make sure to take the time to explain to why I’m wrong since you seem to want to argue
