Did you speak with folks in Emergency Response or the radiation group? They probably know, some random won't.

I asked a DEQ employee that I know. He said that he and his other co workers do not know why.

It's just a drill. We had them come by work earlier in the week.

One of the nukes at Barksdale get loose?

That would get a response from NEST, Nuclear Emergency Support Team.

"The mission of NEST is to conduct, direct, and coordinate search and recovery operations for nuclear material, weapons or devices, and to assist in the identification and deactivation of Improvised Nuclear Devices (INDs) and Radiological Dispersal Devices (RDDs)."

From my inside sauce, "there was a Radiation Table Top Exercise yesterday and today, and the Radiological ER (Emergency Response) Trailer is set up for people to tour if the schedule permits."

This was in an email sent to all DEQ employees. Tell you acquaintances to read their emails more thoroughly.

The EPA RERT is set up outside my office building. DEQ is housed in the building too, but they don't know why two EPA 18 wheelers are set up outside.
