Entergy meter tamper tag.

Out in Destrehan with no power still.
Entergy workers were all over behind my house today doing work.
They cut the tamper tags off my neighbors meter and my meter and maybe others but those were the only ones my wife could see.
They did not replace the tag with a new tag.
Any idea what that's all about?

Might not have them? You have to cut the old to get into the guts.

IIRC, that’s also a way they know which houses they’ve marked off or part of the process as they go through. Seems like the same thing happened after another storm.

If your neighbor was running a generator, they probably isolated him from the lines temporarily.

They do that so that Entergy can fine you $250 to replace the tag. They sometimes even send the tag crew out when here was not a hurricane.

That’s why I like delta electric here. I just cut my tags off and pull the meter myself so I can do electrical work on the farm
They don’t give a shite. I call and tell them I’m doing it though, it saves a technician from having to come out. I also have one of those yellow poles that pulls the fuses up by the transformer down, that shite is harder than it looks
