This is the whole problem in a nutshell. With pretty much everything.. The communication failure. But at the same time, if you try to explain it to people, if its more than 4 sentences they are not going to read it.. So instead of trying to understand something, they create conspiracies because its easier for them to understand.
Agreed oweo. For example, Entergy could do themselves a huge favor releasing some info on how restoration works, especially post hurricanes. I think most people would be very appreciative of the folks that work through those conditions to get your power back on especially if they saw what they go through. Linemen, with few exceptions, bust their asses in less than desirable conditions. And all of them take have a healthy respect for the danger of what they are working on.
But it also doesn’t help when you have the White House press secretary perpetuating the talking point that the Texas issues were all because the coal and natural gas plants failed and had nothing to do with the 25% capacity they lost on renewables. That’s patently false and an outright manipulation of the truth.

Not a soul will see it, but I replied with the middle finger emoji. Entergy can literally DIAF.

I thought Louisiana had nearly the lowest electric costs in the USA.
Is that not true?
Also, Riverbend has a spot for one of the new generation of small reactors, if it becomes economical.
