It's the same technique that progressives use for gun control. Make the burden so high to own a firearm that it essentially becomes impossible to do so.

But they never infringed on your 2nd Amendment rights.

Endymion officially canceled

Seemed inevitable after the news of no Orleans Parish parades dropped earlier this week, but it's still such a bummer to see Endymion (and the rest of the parades) cancelled for 2021.

However, New Orleans is a resilient city where tradition runs deep and doesn't go quietly into the night because of adversity. If we're allowed to have Mardi Gras in 2022 (I can't believe I just typed that sentence), it'll be more appreciated than ever.

Only the parades to celebrate glorious leader and the state.

Floats will be built by the sla-... I mean, volunteers in the re-education camps.

The 2022 parades will feature former dissidents confessing their thought crimes and begging for their families to be released.

It will conclude with the public shaming and summary execution of those who refused to wear masks while alone in the park, and those who chose to have gatherings not sanctioned and approved by the local board of friendship.

A carpetbagger is from the north.

She's a loonytunes from California.

A carpetbagger was a Yankee, sure, usually from the north...but, California was also part of the Union.

But colloquially, it’s an outsider who comes in and tries to tell the locals how to run shite. And usually ruins it.

You want to argue semantics with me?

Yep... Her and her ilk made it nearly impossible for any krewe to adhere to the fricked up regulations they came up with. It was exactly the plan...

If they’re not going to parade in Metairie or somewhere else, I’m done with Endymion.

Odd how they don't worry about crowds when they're BLM protests...

You don't get it... Like someone said in a previous thread "cancelation by proxy". She doesn't want to be the bitch who canceled MG, and she can put the blame on the krewe captains...

Cynthia won’t be allowing parades either. How she gets a pass in all of this is shocking. People are really turning a blind eye to the fact that all JP “republican” politicians support dumbbell Edwards.

I'm honestly amazed how many people here don't understand how politics work.

the media will do their part to laud the Krewe captains for “doing the right thing”

The BLM protests and Biden celebrations did prove that if crowds want to gather, nothing can really stop them from gathering, but it will look stupid if people are all crowding the streets for a parade that won’t happen
