I have always wanted to go to a sorority formal , bus trip, and now ball. Looks fun and a way to drink and talk. Do you need a date to go

Not me but switch your lense, change your perspective, can you see the swarm? If not maybe. You are part of it. Watch out for the Crocs at the crossing

So it’s like a day at the beach for them?

For all you people criticizing Endymion- I will submit that it is the best parade in Mardi Gras by far. And as far as the Extravaganza, the people from the old line krewes such as Rex , Comus. Et Al…the young generation spends their time calling us for Extravaganza tickets. The traditional balls are fine but they want to spend their carnival season hanging with us listening to Diana Ross. There I am finished.

By far?

I'm not sure any parade holds that distinction

Pay money for the right to get drunk doesn't sound cost effetive.

Back in the day Contraband Days Buccaneers paid $100 to be a member, then could drink for free in bars in Lake Chuck for a week

This. I went on hiatus when my first was born. Wanted to be on the sidelines with them for those first years. Now its been six years since I rode and I don't miss it really.

I’m a lot like you in this regard. I’ve never been to a ball or a sorority formal. I wish I would have been more into both of those worlds but never really actively tried. I hated Greek life during my college years because it wasn’t something I had an opportunity to participate in. I guess I could participate in these society things but a bad relationship with alcohol makes me hesitant to become involved.

I’m fricked up, man.

As if there are any to be found in JP. You will be sorely disappointed.

I wish I explored these option but alas I was never given an opportunity nor did I go to right schools or social circles. I would love to have a date and mingle with other dates. Also would be cool to have other girls fight over you .

Been in Endymion for a while . The parade is Great. The rest of that shite is a bore. It is just there to justify the cost. The new members think it is important to play dress up. I sell my tickets to people who want to go.
