It's just a shame a video like this that should actually be occurring all the time is so rare it becomes a news worthy story and viral video.

I had a Down Syndrome friend growing up that was probably the best person I’ve ever met.

Exactly. I understand that special needs people aren't "normal" but if more people would be like this kid and treat them like normal people, the world would be a much better place overnight.

I have a step brother who is handicapped and me and the neighborhood kids did not hold back when playing outside or cracking jokes and stuff. He is now a well adjusted adult married with 2 kids with a great job. One time after he had just graduated college and started working he wrote me and our best friend letters thanking us for treating him like one of the guys even though he was different. He said cherished the memories of screwing off around the neighborhood more than anything in his life. It is one of my most prized possessions and I never really thought about how treating someone normal could have such an impact on their life.

Good on this guy for giving that dude a buddy.
