They would fight and by the end of the day they were friends again.

If you fought at Stanislaus, Brother Joseph made both kids sit together for breakfast, lunch, and dinner until the end of the year.

My 4 years of HS in Memphis suburb school of over 3500, 1 fight (more of a bullying with a single punch thrown and then a run away) was all we had. By the time I reached it the loser was nowhere to be found. Over so fast the winner never even got punished as the only thing any teachers/admins got to see was a crowd already dispersing.

3500 students and in four years all they had was 1 fight? There is no way. You might have only heard of one.

Ok well I guess my daughter's school doesn't let trashy kids that fight in

So only trashy kids fight? You must be one of those parents who has no idea what really goes on.

I've seen a lot of fights when I was in HS. There was also a place people would meet up and go fight. If two people had some kind of problem, there was this place "rock road", everyone would meet up, they would duke it out and that was that.

The fights that were planned out were usually fights over a girl or something else.

But at school, there were a good bit of fights that started because one person would mess with or "bully" someone else and that person got tired of it so they would get physically aggressive, they would fight and that would usually end that one kid fricking with the other.

You can't do that today. If someone is getting bullied, they have to pretty much take it because if they get into a physical altercation then they would get into a lot of trouble.

Maybe I am trashy, but I really don't see a problem when teenagers fight every once in awhile. They are balls of hormones and there will be times when they get emotional, it happens..

Forty years ago, every spring the Bruthas would get upset and stage a walkout at a high school in JeffersonParish. They were allowed to just walk the campus and start shite with the opposite race. When Coaches armed their players with bats, things calmed down.

Sounds bad from your account. We used to have fights in the locker room in middle school. The big arse coaches would put an end to that.

The reason most private school parents don’t hear about fights at school is because the administration does a great job of hiding that stuff because they want you to feel extremely safe sending your child their and keep paying tuition.

What a dumb arse post. At my kids private school, which we've been attending for 8 years, if a kid so much as farts and it smells bad the parents know about it. We know all of the parents. The kids all share stories. Text message and facebook keep everyone informed about everything.

And there has never been a fight the whole time we've been associated with the school.
Of course 98% of the parents are married and probably 80% of the parents both have college degrees.

It's pretty easy to teach your kids to not act like animals.
