Yeah, he did something really stupid that cost his own investors a lot of money. I'm not sure it was malicious, though I could be mistaken. Just dumb as frick. Incompetence at some level does become a crime though. Or maybe my take on this is wrong. I haven't read up that much on it.

Many of Nikola Tesla's ideas were over the top ridiculous and completely infeasible. He hyped up impossible ideas to promote himself. Tesla is internet overhyped.
