It wasn't what the Trump mania eventually became but that was because of a huge pendulum swing from people that hated the hero worship of Obama. That's how the whole god emperor thing started out as a joke, but was coopted by the completely bought in crowd.

Right. Obama was maybe the first social media president to get a huge marketing fan base but Trump surpassed that.
If I drive the block right now I can find multiple Trump flags.

I never saw Hope and change flags flying and one in 10 people wearing hope and change hats. I'm not trying to tarnish your guy. I'm saying his Brand is the strongest of any president i have ever seen.
I remember anti W stuff more than I remember Obama stuff all over. Yes I saw some O flags. But years after the election Trump fever is still here and you may have a Grover Cleveland situation on your hands.
