Semantics and you KNOW it. There are plenty of people who want to FORCE companies to have a diverse workplace in terms of minorities and women. Whether they use the word FORCE or not is irrelevant.

Elon is grasping at straws with that.
If Lebron had said it you would be here touting it as the greatest comeback ever.
You are a functioning retard much like Lebron

It's not semantics though. It villianized an entire vetting process that gets good results. Our tax dollars would go way further supporting DEI programs than they ever will just being handed out in lieu of those programs.

The way you think it works it does.
I have been in meetings with HR and upper management and it works exactly how the poster you are replying to thinks it works.
You are the one who is mistaken. I work in a field where 13% of all college graduates in the degrees we typically hire are female, but there are people in the organization that want 50% female workforce.

If the campaign was the business then I would say the hire was perfect. A job role description might not always be what it is on the surface.

Are you in a STEM field? I bet if you looked at the engineering workforces of Tesla and SpaceX, probably the 2 most advanced engineering companies on the planet, you'd find it's over 90% male at least. The simple fact is that diversity is not a strength. It's been proven.

what if every person you thought would do the best in the roles for which you were hiring happened to be white US-born males?
would you hire them all anyway, because they were the best person for each job based on your personal opinion?
My counter question to you, what if every person that was actually the best for that given role, not just my opinion, was a white US born male?
Or, what if hiring is a joint decision of department heads of different racial backgrounds and they all come to the conclusion that from interviews, all of the white US born males were the best fits for the job?
Should I hire all white US born males or not?

86/14. 50% white.
Pretty surprising really.

You think that’s how it plays out in real life? It becomes a race to the bottom, whole agencies are created to enforce it. Also, many of these people are untouchable in the corporate world, managers and the business at large become afraid of disciplining them or firing them or else they are racist.
Cmon, you’re walking around blind without a cane.

You don't even believe that.
Remember when all the civil rights and affirmative action laws were passed and we were assured that no quotas were being enacted?

Then why does Cuban need DEI at all if the intent is to hire the most qualified candidate? Are you implying that Mark Cuban is racist and needs to be reminded that he apparently doesn’t grade diverse the same as Asians and Whites?

My former company went all in on DEI bullshite and then guilt tripped everyone for not participating. Told them to frick themselves and now I’m happily with a company that will never fall for that bullshite. Screw having an obese disheveled tranny forced on your department.

DEI is an intellectual death sentence

Cuban wrong again and being a left wing puppet as usual…. He isn’t some business guru or genius like most of the general public are told to believe. He essentially got lucky and won a multi-billion dollar lottery to gain his fortune.
Sure it took some skill to build a website that broadcasted the audio of college basketball games… but he doesn’t have some genius mind like Elon does.
One broadcasted the audio of basketball games on a website that was closed down almost immediately by the buyer (Yahoo)…the other builds rockets, electric cars, and underground tunnels…. who should we listen to about topics like this again?… yea, the latter.

There will be companies who enact quotas and such. Can't prevent it. Like I said, bad move for your overall org when that happens.
