Yep. They were elected by people who willfully voted for the person(s) they believed to be the most qualified for the job. There's no God Emperor appointing local leaders.

I find this funny because I continue to blame and put pressure on the locals then they scream Trump, Trump, Trump.
Trump is not in charge of your city dumbass, he's not in charge of the local law enforcement.
It's like everyone complaining that Trump didn't know the logistics of every private business and how much PPE they had or didn't have. But now he is responsible for every fricking police officer in the country?
