An egg is essentially a boneless chicken so price per lb should be the same.

the lack of understanding how our food gets to our tables (in the US) is astonishing. We'd do well to require all students to spend a semester or two studying farming and food production in America. Just so they would have a better appreciation of what all is involved with it.

Some growers time the lights and feeders on during the night to wake them up so they eat more.

They’re hybrid chickens,they grow so fast if allowed to live past 4-5 months their legs can’t support them and they get heart failure.

The bird flu chickens aren't being sold for meat. They are killed in mass in the coop, then windrowed with wood chips and turned into compost.
