no way in hell he would settle unless there is more HARD evidence out there such as video with audio and him saying it. Legal fees for her would be out the wazoo although Im sure she would prob get it probono.

He may not, but his pockets aren't the deepest. The deepest would be the Parish and Sammys. I'm psychologically damaged, my civil rights have been violated, and I am afraid for my life when I leave the house that I will be targeted by law enforcement for bravely outting a beloved judge. Pay me!
It's kind of like the suit that was filed by the store clerk for being excessively "detained" after the Sterling shooting. It's not about what's true, but what can be settled out of convenience.

yeah from the looks of it he may of had an advanced copy of the report or heard through the grapevine this was coming out and got out "in front" of it.

If I'm him, I'm taking my chances in a he said/she said lawsuit in front of a jury where the other side is on probation for stealing/embezzling money from her employer, and I'm a sitting Judge. Her credibility is and would be the essential element. Frick that lying POS

If I was Judge Erwin I would sue the shite out of Sammys and Johnson for slander and defamation. Sammys has serious exposure on their hands for improperly banning the Judge thus flaming the fans of the faux racial allegations.
