The fact that the District or Board has not made an official statement yet is mind blowing. Federal funding in jeopardy.... Wtf are they doing??
This is all they've said officially since last week correct? Other than the dumbass on Facebook
The East Baton Rouge Parish School System has partnered with 29:11 Mentoring Families to provide additional support services for students in our district. One of these initiatives is the “Day of Hope” event. The event was structured to assist students with exploring what options are available after high school, along with allowing students to participate in breakout sessions and student-initiated activities and projects. By providing entertaining activities with an educational focus, this event was an elevation of a traditional college and career fair. Students were provided with lunch and a rare opportunity to mingle with their peers from other high schools in one setting. We look forward to seeing what our over 2,100 student participants will continue to achieve with the resources and knowledge gained from this event.

The problem is nothing will likely happen to him or the individuals in charge of planning this fiasco.

Why is everyone so triggered by this?
The religious aspect really bothers y’all that much?

It was not advertised as a religious event on the permission slip flyer. It was advertised as a college and career day event. So parents have the right to be pissed off about that alone. If you read the testimony of some in attendance, the topics discussed include rape and forgiving your rapist, suicide with graphic depiction of the results, and some other really bizarre shite I'm not even going to get into. Some have said they were requiring voter registration in order to be fed lunch but there some back and forth on that one. Even parents that are religious and attend church could see issues with the how these topics were discussed and be pissed about the lack of transparency on the permission slip.
Putting aside the lack of transparency of what was going to occur at the event, what is a public school doing hosting a religious event at a church in the first place?

To my knowledge, yep! They have to be hiding some type of fraud. Its the only thing that makes sense to me right now.

I'm plenty religious. In fact, my kids go to a Catholic private school.
These kids do not go to a religious, private school. They go to a public, non-secular, "separation of church and state", taxpayer funded public school.
So yeah. That shite bothers me. And what bothers me even more is that this motherfricker thinks he's gonna drag nuts on everybody when he's actually about to get his arse sued into fricking oblivion.
All he's gotta do is back off and I think the shite goes away with an apology. Instead he's doubling, tripling, quadrupling down.
Let's see how it works out for him.

Fraud is a possibility, but not financial.
I think forcing the kids to register to vote in order to get pizza is a form of vote harvesting to try and solidify some of these frickers’ jobs.

I think anyone sleeping on this thread is missing what might end up being one of the biggest stories of the year in EBR.
What gave it some serious legs is Tremelle Howard's responses, and I gotta say - I'm thankful for them.
So yeah - I think it's gonna be REALLY good.

I can predict his response now, which is that the footage is doctored to show what people want to show instead of what really happened.
He would be incredibly full of shite on that but it is standard operating procedure when caught on tape fricking up.

There are so many stories within a story here...
The district will be sued, some federally funding will be cut. I belive grant funds will be audited by the IRS.
29:11 will most likely be audited.
Lastly I am very interested in the quid pro quo video and who all that involves.....
Get your popcorn ready

That would be the smart move. I'm sure the EBRPSB lawyers are doing their best to get him to pump the breaks.
But that's assuming the parish even has lawyers, or even any semblance of leadership who thinks this might be a small problem. Right now they're sharpening their knives thinking they're only going up against a few Karens.
And just for the lulz's sake, I really hope they let them keep going. I'm getting quite the kick out of watching stupid people keep shooting themselves in the foot.

I think the video involves another non profit org and City council member. Not 100% but we gonna see

Metro council member?
Chauna Banks?

Daryl Hurst was the one there.

Less familiar with him but Banks is a retard who represents NBR and Baker.
Search shows he represents district 5 (NBR), which appears to be Merrydale and North Sherwood.
