Is he considered doing this as a private citizen or as an elected official?

Private citizens are expected to foot their own legal bills.

I don’t doubt they made the donation. I’m pissed they didn’t cover their tracks better.

The hypocrisy of those that call St George supporters racist is incredible when you look at the comments on his page. And I say that as a magnet school parent that understands the economic issues facing the EBR schools if St George school district is formed. Same shite when parents complained about the reshuffling of magnet teachers last spring. We were called racist and privileged for daring to want to keep our teachers at our schools. They have no concept of the fact that good schools are based on a community of teachers, parents, and kids that want to be there and build that community together.

Honestly have little issue with the Non profit org. If you want to have an event like this on a Sat or Sun where folks could actually come and go as they please.. Hell yeah

Do I think some kids could have benefited from this? Of course..

The main issue is the deceit, it was sold as a college/job fair.

No, I do not think Church or religion belong in public schools. So many different interpretations of religion you cant just pick one and roll with it.

This scenario is covered by the first amendment

shite, at least they got pizza.

When I was in high school in 99, all 18 year old males were called to the cafeteria and forced to sign up for selective service and to register to vote while we were there.

No pizza.

Looking at his FB page this guy is a total loud mouthed clown. This guy acts like every post he makes is winning an argument when it just makes him look like an idiot.

Unfortunately, his constituency appears to be stupider than him.

Looking more into the reaction to this, I have a theory. This wasn’t really supposed to be for the entire EBR system. Somebody screwed up and invited the magnet programs. If this had simply been the “regular” schools in attendance with their demographic, it would not have caused a raised eyebrow. But they got students in there who are not Christian and who are smart enough to know this wasn’t right. And with parents who are engaged enough to raise hell about it. Now the organizers are trying to cover their tracks and saying that there was no requirement for students to register to vote in order to eat. Now, they may not have actually denied anyone who didn’t register but it was (according to many who were there including my kid) stated as a requirement.

The lunch was sponsored by the Urban League. So there was no agenda in their voter drive, I’m sure. /sarcasm

This event should never have happened on school time. Narcisse heavily promoted it, apparently. If so, then he obviously lacks the judgement to lead a public school system of any size.

Oh and they had to register to vote to eat a piece of pizza......

Seems unproductive given that the majority of seniors arent old enough to register yet.
