Ascension does. And provides wireless hotspot for those that don’t have home internet.

LINK

All students in the district already have devices they take home, but the district also purchased equipment to offer wireless hot spot access for fewer than 500 students who don't have broadband internet access at home.

So in Baton Rouge the public schools kids go to, who need school (education, safety, food) the most are doing virtual (many with no computer or internet) while BR private schools are in person and neighboring parishes are blended but supply what’s needed for virtual.

Is that correct?

You will, through your tax money, buy every kid a computer. The first day after they are given out they will need another because they lost, or broke, the first one.

Alabama is trying to get them for every student, but many districts have run into problems. The geniuses bought Chromebooks from some shady chinese reseller and now they are either stuck in customs or were never shipped.

Meh, every kid at our school all the way back to 2012 had them. I was an aid in the tech office and we didn’t have many lost or broken ones surprisingly.

Chrome Books. All of them. No idea about internet but I would imagine not.

People don’t typically respect things they are given for free and have no skin in the game.

Is the new Downtown Library going to stay open later for all of the EBR public school scholars to quench their thirst for knowledge? I seriously doubt they will have enough materials and resources at home to satisfy their educational needs, computer or not.

Exxon donated money for hotspots for kids that don't have access.
Chromebooks provided to all students
EBR will look good when all the other school systems have to go back to virtual, it's coming.

Even though we had devices for our kids we had to go to the school and pick up chrome books with QR codes that you scan to log in. My kindergartner got a tablet, but they haven't even started doing anything for kindergarten, not sure what they can do. What they should do is open the damn schools.
