Ordered an item on May 8 and was to arrive the 16th. Seller created a label on the 11th with tracking but has not updated and states “preshipment”. Has anyone had delays like this since Covid or is the seller pulling a scam? Note: sent message to seller with no response.

Seller hasn't given it to USPS is by far the most likely scenario. USPS package shipments have been running more or less on time throughout this whole affair.

I’ve had that happen a few times. It didn't update until it was delivered.

I sell on average 10-15 things a month and once every few months I’ll see a package that I dropped off at the post office go into limbo, then be delivered a few days later than it should have.

Maybe the bar code got messed up and couldn’t be read so the status doesn’t update like it should.

This is most likely a scanning issue which is keeping USPS from accurately tracking its location. However, the lack of communication from the seller is concerning. I wouldn't worry if I were you though, eBay almost always sides with the buyer if there is a dispute.

Seller has a 97.6% rating and on 178 feedbacks. Seller does have a one negative for a similar mailing issue. The package was estimated to arrive on the 16th. For those that buy/sell frequently is that enough time lapse to open a “did not receive” item?

I had one do that froM eBay. Seller kept telling me it’s been shipped. 3 weeks later eBay stepped in and gave me a refund. It showed up last week after it shipped January 20??

Yeah I can understand the delay in shipping but the lack of response is what makes me think otherwise.

That would be my bet also. Burns my arse when I buy something, the seller prints the label for it, and sits on the package for a few days.

The label was printed on 11th so going on 10 days.
