I've read stuff before that theorizes it's the reason toddlers have a desire to eat boogers. It's little germ pill that helps strengthen their immune system. They certainly aren't learning the behavior for the most part.

Your nose almost certainly hosts staphylococcus. Could even be MRSA up there. Maybe you don't care if you spread MRSA all over everything you touch, if you've already got it, but I care.

That's a good point, that's why the article is crazy, right?

When you hold yourself out as an authority on a topic, you should have some track record of having learned the topic. Does that hurt your feelings?

Yeah, I'm having a tough time being convinced that it's a good idea.

Junior should not do this.

Evolution at work.

I knew there was a reason we were all eating boogers.

While sounding gross, I believe the human body needs to not be overly protected and allowed to build its immune system

Did you see that episode from The Office in which Dwight says this exact same thing? Then he eats a sandwich after somebody sneezes onto the contents of that sandwich.

I didn't think those folks held themselves in that fashion. They just voiced an opinion different than yours. It clearly, by your childish reaction caused...

hurt your feelings?

You then got all pissy... As nearly everyone else in the thread noticed.

Hope you had a better day today.

Here's where you are being a completely obtuse clod. The thread was NOT about my personal opinion. The thread referred to a Quora entry written by a third party. That was obvious. And yet, you lacked the reading comprehension skills necessary to discern that fact.

Now then, let's move along. What do you think about this article where it says that it might be OK for you to eat your boogers? Do you feel vindicated? By the way, this is not my opinion, again, it's an article.

I guess these toddlers are on to something after all

That’s an interesting thought because toddlers are obviously predisposed to do this. Genetic programming perhaps....kind of like sticking their hands in their mouths all the time?

I’m telling my kids now to pick and eat with abandon.
