Yeah, that's impressive as hell.

I would forgive him too, but only after I paid off some prison guards and inmates to break a rusty pipe off in his arse.

That is essentially the death penalty for him. He wouldn't last a month.

You don't thing the Aryans in prison would greet him as a hero and watch his back?

I have no clue about prison dynamics between AB and blacks. I'm sure its different everywhere and I'm sure there is a price for everything.

I never thought about that, but that's a great point. He wanted a civil war, then he would more than likely get it if he were mixed in with GP in prison. He would be protected, but it would only be a matter of time before he was done for. It would only take one slip up. Then the AB would retaliate and it will be an all out war.

I'll just say this about Dylann Roof, what he did is deplorable but its no more or less deplorable than the acts of the other mass murderers that came before him. This event I find very similar to the school shootings in this country over the past 20 years. Many if not all of the suspects in those killings felt it was the only way to be heard or get even if you may. I cant help but think of what kind of social environment these people were living in that drove them to this. For every effect there is a cause, so what caused this man to do this? Hate would be my guess but what caused that hate? My guess is that Dylann didn't have the best of experiences with black people. Maybe Dylann got picked on all through school and he never could let it go, much like the kids that shoot up high schools in this country. Except maybe most of Dylann's bullies happened to be black. What Dylann did is the worst thing a human being could do to another human being but what drives these people to commit these acts is often overlooked.

He's hardly going to see another inmate from being so isolated. But people keep coming up with these County jail general population ideas that they see on TV.

True. If he doesn't get death, he will be hanging out with Terry Nichols and the Unabomber in CO. Are they going the Fed hate crime route?

This POS stated that his goal was to start a race war. You don't start that by killing the shitty elements of the group you hate.

Good point. I just think of victims like James Byrd and Ricky Byrdsong. These were legitimately good people.

Byrdsong was out jogging with his kids for fricks sake.

Scum of the earth gets even worse. That little animal made it clear with that statement that he is beyond rehabilitation. Should make the death penalty sentencing a breeze.

This kid just killed 9 innocent African Americans solely because they were black. He'll be dead long before his sentencing ever comes I imagine.

I dont know if yall are being serious or not, but in my everyday activities here in Birmingham, racial tension is basically non-existent. I am polite and amicable with black people, and vice versa. I am not saying that there is no racial issues in this city, but I am just saying that it is nothing like the sixties-not even close.

It would probably make the Attica riots look tame. Race relations have nosedived over the last five years in this country.

fricking cowards.

Reminds me of a school safety / school shooting conference I attended. Conference included local, state law enforcement, FBI and other experts.

Hands down, one of the most engaging speakers I have ever listened to was Lt. Colonel Dave Grossman, (the FBI agent who followed him joked he would not have attended if he knew he would follow the Lt. Colonel, )

Main Point:

Lt. Colonel Grossman made the point that you have to try and understand that the school shooters, and most mass shooters, are not looking for a gun fight. They are cowards and that is why they choose places like schools. He asked, "How many of these individuals show up at the police station? We would be glad to return fire if they walked into the station and pull a gun."

They are cowards for many reasons, however, most of these individuals have historically chosen places that are unlikely to have armed individuals or places that are legally prevented from having armed individuals.

So, he did not go to the street corner in a bad area of town for the same reason school shooters did not show up at the local police station. Cowards.

Lt. Colonel Dave Grossman LINK

LT. COL. DAVE GROSSMAN, U.S. Army (Ret.) Director, Warrior Science Group, www.killology.com: Member, American Board for Certification in Homeland Security; Member, American College of Forensic Examiners Institute

Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is an internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier, and speaker who is one of the world's foremost experts in the field of human aggression and the roots of violence and violent crime.

Col. Grossman is a former West Point psychology professor, Professor of Military Science, and an Army Ranger who has combined his experiences to become the founder of a new field of scientific endeavor, which has been termed “killology.”

Short Video Discussing His Book "Sheepdogs"

I have his book "Killology." Found the research about soldiers being reluctant to shoot at enemy soldiers very interesting as well as how the military used training to "desensitize" the shooting process.

I have nothing to add about him, but I heard the victims' families speak today on the news.

Their comments were amazing to me. Despite his horrendous act, they expressed the hope that God forgives him,

I don't think I could do that.
