At first I was like, who joins TD for advice..

Then I realized he needed DWI advice and was like damn, he did come to the right place.

Get over yourself. Of course you do, nothing special about your situation.

Why are you paying a lawyer to tell you to plead guilty? Either tell him or go to the DA yourself and see about a plea bargain.

It's an expensive mistake, you're looking at $10k, but man up and face the consequences. Go take care of your business. The DMV will tell you what you need to drive, etc. Go do the fricking work.

Your stupid for getting a lawyer. Plead not guilty. Get into pti. Fines. Community service. One class. Get your license back in three months. This shite is simple.

You need work out PTI before you plead, hence, "pre-trial". Not all jurisdictions offer PTI.

No way man, the OT knows how to handle this shite better than any local lawyer who does this shite for a living

Not always that simple. Having a lawyer can make things easier.

here's my CSB

14 years ago I was working as a manager at Hooters, and we were opening a new store. The night before opening we were all hanging out drinking beers at the hotel with the "opening team" which is a ton of hot chicks.

I passed out around 11 and woke up at 2 needing to get back to may apartment. I drive 20 minutes get off my exit, and I'm sitting at a red light forever. I say frick it, cause I'm a mile from home, it's 230 and no one is on the road, so I turn left. Boom, I get lit up immediately.

I'm telling myself to stay calm cause I'm all good. It's a woman cop like 6'2" 260. She asks if I've been drinking. I say no. She asks if I'll do the tests. I say yes. I do the pen, abc's, walk the line heel-toe, perfectly.

She says, "Mr. Putt, I'm gonna ask you 1 more time if you've been drinking." I said, you can ask me 10 more times and I'm gonna tell you 10 more times I haven't been drinking. She said, "Look in the mirror."

I looked in the mirror and had a dick on my face from my ear to my mouth with balls on my neck. The dick was "shooting" cum towards my mouth. I looked at her, and she was smiling. I started laughing and turned around for the cuffs.

The law was .1 back then in Dayton, and I blew a .093 at the station. It was an OMVI, or as I called it, a junior varsity dwi. She booked me and gave me a ride back to my jeep. I got to work on time, and told the girls to suck a butt for drawing on me.

To this day when me and the buddies are drinking at a bar I always ask if everyone is getting a cab/uber cause you don't wanna get caught with a dick on your face.

Everyone always thinks their lawyer is the best. That is not the case. OP's lawyer is either a crook, or really stupid.

Many people have been through the whole DWI process. As a collective, the OT is a very good place to ask for advice on it

I agree. I've always believed in "you get what you pay for," too. Don't go cheap on a lawyer.

I got a 48 hour class at "hotel jail"

I didn't lose my DL either. It was a long time ago for me though.

I think a lot depends on what parish/county you get popped in as well.

It more so depends on the state, depending on how lenient it is wherever you're popped

Unfortunately you're about to end up blowing 10 grand (at least that's what the billboards say). Better dust off the ol Schwinn.

Go get SR-22 insurance then get an interlock installed and go to the DMV. They'll get you setup with a hardship license. It's gonna suck buddy.

They're are only five or so really good lawyers in every city. People can spend the same amount of money, but pick a shitty lawyer
