Cummings, huh? Yea stick with your minivan.

All bs aside, both are good motors without the emissions crap. 90 percent of your diesel issues today will be from the emissions junk they are forced to put on them.

sorry I couldn't resist. I've never had either but many friends have gone back and forth for years arguing over which is better. Cummins is supposedly a suburb piece of machinery. But the Duramax's trucks look better imo

I like the Cummins engines but nothing else it’s attached to.

The Duramax factory in Ohio can't keep up with demand. As many Duramax engines as they build, GM uses. The people at Duramax consider themselves the innovators of the bunch.

The general consensus is that Duramax and Powerstroke are neck and neck, with Cummins maybe a touch behind due to some leakage problems. A very competitive market keeps all three on their toes.

I have a top trim 2500 and a top trim f-250 both 2019 and the f250 had an engine issue and the 2500 had brake issues. Other than that no problems.

Cummins and it's not really close, one is a real diesel and one is a V8

Cummins. Cannot kill the original 5.9 and the newer 6.7 are indestructable. An Atmos mechanic told me that those are 1million mile blocks. See them all the time with high mileage. I would go with the Cummins.

Cummins

I have the first year of the 6.7 Cummins paired with the 6 speed manual G56 tranny, love the setup, hope to put a million miles on it, and probably will be able to.

What are you doing with it? (In detail, please)

Also-How long are you going to keep it?

Without knowing this, let me offer that many businesses have gone to spec’ing big gas engines because of the horror stories associated with DEF Rube Goldberg shite on new diesel engines.
