Dumbass question of the day: so I snapped the gear shifter off my side by side

Going to load up a deer this morning after I cranked my side by side it wouldn’t come out of low gear I shoved on it and the handle snapped off. Anybody know what kind of adhesive I could use to stick it back on?

If it is metal just weld it back.

What kind of buggy is it?

Take it off and go get it welded.

Install pipe with slightly larger I.D. than O.D. of broken shifter

How big a boy was he?
Like the others said, get it welded - also post in the outdoor board.
You could also try jb weld for a temp fix.

Didn’t know if a broken shifter was really outdoor related you should really just rename it the baw board then. I’m afraid because it’s made from some type of soft metal the weld wouldn’t hold
And 8 point not a basket rack but not near as big as I thought when I shot probably 3 and a half year old

If Duck Tape can't hold it together, it isn't worth being fixed.

Yeah, outdoor related.... you think the OT knows how to do shite outside?
You may have to replace the shifter. But a true welder would know for sure. What type of sxs? And definitely post in Outdoor with make/model etc..., if you know anyone that welds, call them to look at it.
Congrats on the 8. They always look bigger in the scope lol

look on ebay and you can almost always find used oem parts for things like that for $10-$15

Yeah you make a good point I’ve got a welder at the house but I was afraid the metal was too soft. Looks like some kind of aluminum
It’s a 2017 ranger

You could grab some flex seal tape and see how that works, supposed to be strong. If it fails, weld it. If that fails, prolly gonna need a new part.
Or just try to weld it, and if that fails, order the part.
Where you went wrong is......Polaris
Hope you find an easy fix.

If you are not going to replace the broken part, what terd ferguson said is correct.
