Well let’s see. It is proper to say, “dumb people at Walmart”; not in Walmart. So, if a person is not enrolled and is on campus property then he/she would be at college. And since the poster did not indicate the dumb people at college were students, can we assume he was referring to the faculty as the dumb people at college? In which case, I agree. Or is it "at which case"?
I have no idea. I was just referring to the use of "ballpark" as a verb.

Sounds like you had a pretty poor program. My professors have always pushed critical thinking.

Don't you mean dumb people IN college?

No I meant "at college". The physical university is a key component of the criticism. There are more efficient ways for people to be "in college" than for them to be "at college" while "in college". If we are going to provide education to low to average IQ 18-22 year olds, we should at least do it cheaply.

Boozie was more to the point with his option of "at a college", but that would have been unnecessarily confusing, possibly being read to mean this or that specific college.

How much has the curriculum been dumbed down so that dumb people can graduate college is the better question.

I knew someone that had to go to remedial English and Math when she started LSU. Didn't even know there was such a thing

Go to a college campus and walk around a bit with a critical eye. Opulence, ignorance, and slovenliness working in concert to waste resources at historically unprecedented levels.

Uway, I'm just messing around about the grammar. I agree with your premise 100%.

I'm being a hyperbolic dipshit to a certain extent, but I went to campus today for the first time in awhile and was just struck by what I saw.

Its basically the TOPS argument as well. If they raise the standards just slightly it would eliminate a lot of waste. And by waste I mean students who burn a year or two of TOPS but don't finish college.

I knew a couple of these myself. Most people test out of it when you do the entrance exams. And I'm talking back in the mid 80's. I think the minimum ACT to get in LSU was 15.
