Thread about plaintiff lawyer made me think about my neighbor.Guys fairly well fixed but he’s so tight he’s stupid.He has tractor that weighs at least 4,000 lbs,he bought trailer and didn’t get brakes,thought it cost too much.In Louisiana if pulling 3,000 lbs. or more required to have trailer brakes.Then he hauls his tractor up to his son’s in Shreveport area occasionally.
I imagine if he has accident,his fault or not,he is screwed.I am sure his insurance company won’t pay jack shirt if they discover he didn’ have trailer brakes and I’m sure they will.
I damned sure got brakes on my trailer.

4000 lbs isn't much for a tractor. It probably weighs more than that unless it's fairly small.
