When all the statues are taken down and the lower class is still lagging behind, then what?
This isn't about statues. It's about people having zero purpose in life, so they invest themselves in these faux protests.
At the end of the day it's about personal responsibility, not statues.
Correct. This is not about statues.
This is about erasing white culture.

Then everyone who fought in the revolution should be branded as traitors too. In fact, let's destroy the legacy of anyone who has ever done something these SJWs have ever deemed offensive.
You people don't get it. This is nothing but a beachhead being established. They won't stop unless they are met with real resistance. And eventually they will come for things you care about. This ends with book burnings and the criminalization of "wrong thinking".
They are ideological fascists.

The Confederate states legitimately seceded from the Union and was a legitimate and recognized nation for its four years of existence. Lee's home state voted to join the Confederacy. No treason was involved. The United States of America never prosecuted anyone for treason or traitorous behavior.
Nice try, inaccurate talking point.

I wonder how Londoners manage to go on every day with that statue of George Washington glaring at them in Trafalgar Square.

I'd bet the farm that the vandal couldn't name another person depicted in the other statues standing alongside General Lee at the chapel entrance. This simplistic view of history is just as shameful as the vandalism. It is downright embarrassing.

I see this stupid arse comment all the time. How do you think the Union became to be in the first place? By being traitors of England. When the colonies felt they were unfairly treated they broke away from England; when the South felt they were unfairly treated they broke away from the North. Hell, at least the South didn't enlist the help of a foreign country to fight the North, so there is some virtue in accepting the outcome of the war without foreign involvement or gorilla warfare...
Those statues should stand because this was a brother-on-brother war, whereby, afterwards, both side amalgamated into the strongest country in the freaking world!

foreign help was on its way, but didn't get there in time. also, the south did employ guerrilla warfare tactics. go brush up on that history bud

Western culture in general. It's all part of cultural Marxism.

They should. I'm triggered by the name. Seriously, a university named after a grand wizard from Louisiana? That's almost as bad as the Confederate general in front of St. Louis Cathedral.

Love how after 8 years of a black president no one had an issue with a statue until the sheeple were told too for political gain.

Sounds like you are speaking about the Klansmen & bored Housewives who commissioned most of these monuments.
According to the Southern Poverty Law Center there are over 1500 known Confederate commemorative sites & over 700 monuments. Most "Founding Fathers" of this nation don't have as many monuments.
Over 1500. Southerners & Neo Confederates have some issues they need to face & come to grips with these people Treason to save their precious slaves.

I'm not your "bud" bitch. You go brush up on your history. Lee discouraged and, to some degree, prevent widespread gorilla warfare by the South. Plus, the pockets of gorilla warfare by the South pales in comparison to the "scorched earth" tactics Sherman used.

Doubt whether England is over run with over 1500 monuments to American Revolutionist on their city courts. Talk about "overplaying your hand" with these Neo Confederates & Klansmen commissioning all of these monuments(And we know why).
A single bust / painting of Lee ( in context) at Appomattox Museum would barely get notice ,but over 1500 commissioned sites by the Klan/ Neo Confederate organizations..........
