30 years later and I’ve still got my shotgun belt. I might wear it tomorrow just to offend someone.

I bet mine is still in the closet at my parents' home. I could probably find some Duckhead khakis and quite a few Ralph Lauren Polo shirts too

standard (cool) attire for private school in ‘88 was blue Duckhead pants, white button-up long-sleeve Polo and brown Cole Haan deck shoes (black or brown penny loafers were acceptable too). Tennis shoes had to be Nike, Addidas or Reebok. Addidas were the only ones that could be OTW (other than white).

When I moved to central Texas and attended public school, this was all I had besides khaki shorts (weren’t allowed to wear shorts to school in Texas) and white T-shirts and A-shirts. Took about a month for me to learn what the style was and buy some new clothes.

I have a pair or two of Tretorns in my closet right now. And I look FAF in 'em!

The original brand was top tier. The various reboots are try-hard BS.

Which is funny because they started out as work clothes. Fratstars adopted them like rappers adopted Dickies.

The remark upthread is correct. Pants were FAF. Shirts decidedly NF.
