I'm SO god damned fed up with these janky-arse dry cleaners... I've been to at least THREE in the past year and they keep fricking things up... The latest situation was a suit jacket that the inside, liner/sleeve at the very top was split/ripped... I KNOW that it wasn't ripped when I dropped it off and "We no do that" was all I received...

Is there ANYONE who knows of a legitimate or at least 'closer the top of the "won't frick you" spectrum'?!

Jesus Christ...

One cleaners does good stuff and does free pick up/delivery. They are a bit expensive though.

Is that the name of the place? What part of town are they in?

I use Youngs, no complaints, but a little pricey.

Yea it's called "One Cleaners". I honestly have no idea where they are because I just do pick up/drop off. They come twice a week to my place. Pretty sure they will go anywhere in metro area.

Dry Cleaners are the biggest rip off in NOLA. I moved to the Lower Garden District 6 years ago and searched for one. I brought my shirts to Toys on St. Charles, Ace on Prytania, then to Libertos. All three of them were an arm and a leg.

I started going to Lafayette cleaners on the west bank. Literally 1/3 of the price, but not very convenient. I just went back to Ace for the first time in 5 years and it was $88 for 16 shirts.

A friend of mine took 5 pieces to Toy Cleaners, a jacket to get hemmed, 2 longer coats for dry cleaning and 2 blouses for dry cleaning, the bill was $169. We joked about how expensive it was going to be, but had no clue they were going to rape her that badly.

I've used Ace a few times, quit them, went to a place uptown that I can't remember and then went BACK to Ace... they burned the leather on the waist patch on my jeans and they also fricking STARCHED THE GOD DAMNED JEANS and lastly, they flat out stole/lost one my shirts.. (I had the receipt) and they said it was probably a computer error! You'd have to threaten me at gun point to use them again.

"Q Lee" on Basin St. fricked up my the inside/sleeve/etc of my most recent suit jacket I brought to them... after having about 3-4 solid experiences... I thought i was safe.

I've used Liberto's and the fact that the closest one to me is on Prytania is sounding like a deal considering the alternatives...

I'm just so frustrated.

Been using Liberto's on Prytania for years. They're expensive but not as bad as Model Cleaners on Magazine and they haven't screwed anything up for me. Unfortunately I think all of the ones uptown are expensive

Yeah, it's crazy. I think I had two pairs of pants, so that drove up the cost a little, but I think it was 3.99/shirt. It's literally 1/3 of the cost on the wank. I just hate having to drive over there. I may have to start going back to them though. I just can't justify using anyone in my neighborhood.

Interesting... My office is right on Whitney in Gretna... anyone you'd recommend? That would be convenient as shite.

Lafayette cleaners on Lafayette, just down from the McDonald's next to the fire station. They may be hitting some hard times. The last time I went there, they wanted you to pre-pay for your clothes. Usually not a good sign.
