People are sociopathic over the internet. I agree it goes too far.

I'm okay with that, random internet person that means nothing to me.
I realize that at your job this stunt might only get you demoted to the fry station, but grownups with professional jobs cannot act like this and have to reap the rewards when they do. She knew this. This is why she started crying and changing her attitude when she realized she'd just put her license to practice in jeopardy.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

That is a little rough to be honest. Its bad enough she lost her job and reputation but the icing on the cake was Uber suspending her account which in my opinion went too far.
She did reimburse the guy a couple thousand dollars.

Search "Indian beats uber driver" on 4chan. They are relentless. It's NSFW so proceed with caution.

What exactly did she do? She wasn't arrested.
If it wasn't for the shitty posse mentality that infiltrates the internet this chick would have no cause for any professional organization to discipline her.
The internet has turned the world into a gapping vagina. This chick put in quite a few years of sleepless nights to get where she is and if idiots like you have their way then it will all be for not because she's a mean drunk.

bad thing is, if he would have done anything at all to stop her, he would be in jail...I say that she deserves everything that she gets.

No, stupid, if it wasn't for HER frickING BEHAVIOR, there would be no cause for any professional organization to discipline her.

The police finally showed up after this video ends. The girl was in a taxi cab about to leave when the showed up and they had to stand in front of the taxi and tell him to stop. The girl eventually got up from the area the cops had told her to sit and wait, and tried to walk away from the scene.
Once in handcuffs, she then tried kicking some of the police officers on the scene. It was only when they put her in the police car that she started crying, apologizing, and claiming that she would lose her medical license (she claimed to be a neurologist) if she got arrested.
The Uber driver was too good of a person and decided to take a cash settlement instead of pressing charges. In his words, "...she was crying (and) said (she) was sorry for everything." I don't want to disclose the amount the driver was paid, but can say he could only use the money to pay his cellphone bill and maybeee his cable bill.
It's safe to safe this girl got off easy.

Meh, what she did was arrest worthy, and any arrest usually leads to at the very least a disciplinary review from a board like that.
I'm a med student, and if we did anything like that we'd be dropped pretty damn quickly. I know she's an actual resident and has more rights, but anything alcohol related like this is a big no-no. It constitutes a lack of judgment that can spill over into your clinical practice. Since she is still in a residency, the program has the right to do what they want with it.
I will say though, had she just gotten cited for disorderly conduct and there was no video, it is highly likely that they would only suspend or review her case IF she told them right away that she got arrested. With almost a million people viewing this and counting and the program's name being plastered everywhere, it's game over for her.
So in a sense you're right, but she would still have gotten in trouble no matter what.

I'm not gonna say she deserves everything that's coming towards her, but at the end of the day, don't be a drunk a-hole and this doesn't happen.
Ehhh. Being drunken douche and destroying private property is definitely grounds for some disciplinary action.
Again, I'm not saying that she deserves to lose the career she's worked hard for, but it is all her fault that she's in this situation.

Bottom line: I've partied with doctors, lawyers, engineers, CPAs, ect that have done more criminal acts than this.
Basically the internet is full of pussies.

And if the board/bar assoc./whatever found out about these criminal acts they would be disciplined. Especially if they found out from someone other than the person who did the act.
