Not to mention during his time at CLU in Amite. He only slept at the jail, he had a vehicle parked there that was only taken away after he arrived drunk one night.
So, he was allowed to come and go as he pleased and still drove drunk after killing 3 friends?

Either on it or right on the side.

This can't be true.

They were walking on the side of the road. It's a small 25mph two lane road right down from the bar. They were actually walking to his house as some of them were his roommates. Pretty fricked up situation.

Crazy how some people only have to serve weekends. I knew someone who got a battery charge and had to do four months off weekends at JPP in Gretna.
Every Friday he would drive to jail, every Monday morning at 3am he would come home.

Being out by now sounds about right. Thanks JBE!
Moron. The governor had nothing to do with his release.

They can't make drunk driving laws stiff enough for me. People who choose to drink and drive and then kill someone should get at least twenty-five years, minimum, with no time off for good behavior.

Show me all the violent offenders who were released early under this program? I'm sure there were a few, but some of the "early" releases were people who were released literally a few days early so that shouldn't count. Show me the violent offenders who were released years early because of this. It's not a "prog mouthpiece". Louisiana has the highest incarceration rate the country. It costs us an insane amount of money to keep people in jail who don't really need to be there.

Like the guy that robbed one guy and attempted to rob another the day after he was released?
The guy was a career criminal, but as far as I can tell this was his first violent crime. The majority of them were for simple burglary.

Well since USA is #1 I figured people could make the leap that the state with the highest rate in the most jail-happy country on earth would be #1 in the world. I may be giving people too much credit.
