I do not like judging people on the web, but the sue happy mentality sucks on your part. Most kiddos with skin bridges are the result from a very prominent suprapubic fat pad or poor parental hygiene pushing the skin back during the initial healing process. No tort by the circumciser and unfortunately I cannot transfuse you any IQ points via the interwebs.
You are a gentleman and a scholar.
He should heed your advice.

bullshite. There is not a gotdamn thing wrong with consulting a lawyer to learn what, if any, your legal options are. I have seen many cases where a person is damaged by someone else's fault, but has waited too long to consult a lawyer so it is too late to bring a claim or file suit.
Spoken like a true lawyer.

The sue mentality is messed up in this country. Risks come with surgery. Infection is a risk with every procedure in medicine.
The kid will most likely heal this with zero long term issues. Going after the doc is not the solution.

Thank you for an informative and helpful post.
Initially, I actually thought the white stuff was diaper lining which had worked its way into the hole. Also, I iterated in the OP that the hole did not show the fairly standard signs of infection, but thank you for reiterating that.
I think everyone is reading too much into the lawsuit thing. I shouldn't have added the emotional trauma part. We would not pursue such an action, the doctor who did the procedure was my wife's OB, and in a somewhat loose use of the word, she is a friend.
IF IF IF IF Things turned out to be more serious than intially thought. All I would want compensation for are the medical bills incurred. However, it would only be in a situation where our insurance either didn't cover part of the charges, or the deductible. Either of which would only incurr due to the initial mishap.
As you, and others, have suggested. I am seriously considering changing doctors. Multiple people at our church suggested our current one. But I've only seen him once in 6 visits, and that was only because the NP called him into the room. I appreciate NPs, and their training. However, actually seeing the doctor when problems arise is a reasonable expectation, IMO.
Additionally, some of the moms who suggested his practice are anti-vaxxers, I have a problem trusting a doctor recommended by someone who doesn't vaccinate her kids.
Once again, thanks for the reasoned response. Have a great week.

1. Visit a Pediatric Urologist for an exam. Likely a penile skin bridge by what you are describing. These can occur after circs due to the anatomy of certain kiddos.

Yes, I actually agree with your second paragraph. I shouldn't have added the emotional trauma part. As I've said multiple times since, it would not be something we would pursue. We would simply want imbursed for our deductible, or bills not covered by insurance. That's all.
I earned every negative comment directed at me because of the lawsuit question. I would add that I partially posted the emotional trauma question, due to curiosity regarding the law on such matters. It is NOT something I am interested in pursuing right now. I thought I made it clear in the OP that the second question, regarding imbursement for medical bills, was ONLY ONLY ONLY an option if the condition is more serious than initially thought.
I am trying to elucidate my intentions, but seem to be failing miserably.
I will research the penile skin bridge possibility you proffered.

This certainly isn't the case. We followed the instructions to the letter.
Have a great Monday, if such a thing exists.

I didn't read your whole thread, but my kid had that. It happened a few times in different places. It is normal and he outgrew it.
