Not a normal Wednesday here. Some places are open or opening today. I plan on going out for lunch then some drinks.

Conditions are going to vastly improve by noon. Ice melt is coming off my roof at a good clip and the windshields of the cars are clear. This wind and the slightly(very) higher temps will dry things out quickly.

No where, Im not there. Im trying to decide when to open my store. Trying to get a feel around the area. Already pushed back the opening to noon.

It was a ghost town last night around 4:30pm and 11pm. A few places were open- breaux mart, boulingy, bulldog...etc but there wasn't anybody on the roads. Funny part: it was just cold weather, no ice on the road or anything. People are crazy.

gotcha. Temps are going to stay below freezing pretty much until tomorrow morning at this time.
It may get to 34 for about an hour or so today.

Open it up at noon. People are off and starting to get a little stir-crazy. Once they realize the roads are fine, they'll start moving around.

I drove from UPT to Gretna. It wasn't easy. Elevated Expressway is closed as well as several on ramps.

I just did it. I got on by the Home Depot entrance. Magazine and Tchoup ramps are closed.
