No, it's when there is a long line of cars driving in the left lane below the speed limit because there is a truck or something about half a mile up going slower in the right lane. I just casually keep driving the speed limit in the right lane to see if I can find a safe spot to pass. No I'm not talking about someone one's cushion. I only fall in if there is more than enough room because someone isn't really paying attention. I don't try to squeeze in.

You might say that, but it's probably not true. People who post up in the left lane for the duration are almost always oblivious to what they're doing. The ones I know who do it every single time will swear up and down that they don't. They are also the ones who get pissed when someone goes around them to pass.

As long as I don't have to tap my breaks when they cut in front of me I have no problem. I respect aggressive drivers, that is how I drive so it is easier to predict their behavior, I feel safer sharing the road with them.
Now if someone squeezes in front of me and doesn't maintain their speed then they are getting a windshield full of 3-day old dip spit when I pass them.

If you are going slow in the left lane and someone flashes their lights, they are not trying to be mean, they are not trying to play games, they are asking you to move over since you are occupying the passing lane and yet someone wants to pass you.
You need to reevaluate how you drive.

NO, Happens in ANY lane.
If you can merging in with about 3 feet of cushion in the front and back, then yes.. BUt that is not legally enough room of even anything close to enough room. I am not going to tailgate someone in front of me to pass when it steady morning traffic and he or the person front of him, or even ten lengths in front of him is not holding up traffic.
Leaving a reasonable cushion in front during the morning commute actually helps overall traffic flow and does not hinder it.
FWIW, I rarely am in the left lane

I hate being the lead car in a caravan because people always complain about me changing lanes too frequently: I move to the left, pass truck on right, move back to right lane for a few moments, move back to the left lane, and pass the next truck. Rinse and repeat. The only time I don't move over is when there is no one anywhere behind me and I am going to quickly overtake another car.

Did I say I was going slow? I usually drive 75mph. But when a Texan douchebag isn't going to get over into the right lane after passing a car and I have another Texan douchebag on my arse flashing his light, you better believe I am going to slow screw with him.

I drive on interstates a LOT. If I see someone trying to do this, or speeding up to cut me off in some way, I'll usually push over into their lane a bit so they have to drive on the shoulder to pass.
You have to be aggressive with assholes.

I refuse to drive any slower than 15 over (except neighborhoods). I just don't feel like dealing with people.

Life is much easier if you don't left small shite like that bother you. So you have to slow 1-2mph for a couple of seconds to get your gap back up. Who cares? You will still get to your destination at the same time. Don't let it bother you.

Are you in the left lane because you are going 75, or are you using it to pass? A lot of people think that their speeding is acceptable, and anyone driving faster is going too fast. 75 is typically closer to the speed of traffic, and therefore you are typically only going to be passing semi trucks and elderly people. These people also tend to try and regulate what others do around them, and are too self important to let people by. It doesn't really matter how fast you are going because it slows down traffic for people to have to slow down and go around you. It's been shown time and time again in traffic studies. Pass the car and get over until you need to do so again. It isn't your job to regulate the speed of those around you.
