But how many of us hooked up with drunk as shite girls in college…?
Does that make all of these people “rapists”?
There’s hooking up with a drunk girl in college.
Then there’s (allegedly) taking turns with your buddy hooking up with a drunk girl, in the back seat of a truck parked on the side of the road, while your uncle and another buddy are in the front seat, and then dropping her off on the side of the road.
These guys will get their day in court. We’ll see what evidence comes to light from either side (I suspect the phone evidence in particular will be quite revealing one way or another, but could be wrong). There are certainly legitimate arguments that the DA’s office may be overcharging, and there’s a question of what the DA can actually prove.
That being said, I think the whole “you’ve never had sex with a girl who was drunk?” thing is a bit of a false equivalence.

Totally understand the consent part when drunk, etc
Just saying this happens evening, on probably every college town in America.
Just so happens this girl was hit by a car, unfortunately.
And can the defendants use
The same logic…”I was too drunk to know what I was doing. “. If a female is too drunk to consent, then the male cools be to drunk to know she couldn’t (if Thwt makes sense )
Although in this case with cell June video, etc… might
Be hard to argue that

You don’t think so? Let’s try rewording your post:

But how many of us have parked on the side of the road to run a train on a drunk as shite girl in the back seat, while our buddies watched from the front seat, while we were in college…?
Does that make all of these people “rapists”?
Does that sound ridiculous? Because it should.
I’m not saying the situation is 100% rape. Like I said, let’s see what comes out at trial. Maybe the facts as alleged are incorrect. Maybe she was completely lucid. Maybe Carver and Washington didn’t say any of the stuff to the police that’s in the warrant affidavit. One way or another I suspect there’s a lot more evidence that will come out besides the videos selectively released by the defense.
But whatever the outcome, if that strikes you as a “who hasn’t done that in college?” type of experience then idk what to tell you.. maybe you watch too much porn.

No, thought I heard on a video or something. Could be totally wrong

I once watched Judge Ray find a defendant not guilty, whose confession was played during the bench trial, because she basically said she didn’t understand the laws.

It's been shared a bunch of times. I heard it loud and clear as well. But I'm staying out of this civil discourse and think they deserve to be punished. But here are some facts that some people don't want to acknowledge:
1. In this video she was apologizing to the driver for calling him a pussy for not wanting her(that part of video has been shared as well).
2. She demanded they let her out the car. They didn't throw her out on the side of the road and actually tried to get her to tell them where to drop her off.
3. They were a few hundred feet IN the neighborhood when she got out. She walked back to Burbank on her own.
Cell Phone Video cued up to her wanting out of the car and apologizing for hurting the driver's feelings

You say these things like it proves any sort of state of mind or sobriety. She was severely inebriated and was already going in and out of consciousness within the same hour numerous times.

I'm guessing max 5 years
Seems excessive from the facts we've heard about this defendant, no?

Pretty surprised she was so light on her feet leaving Reggies and trotting to their car with a .30+ BAC
I'm of the belief these guys skate.
