Drip faucet on most remote fixture.
Set dishwasher on time delay to run in early morning hours
Set washing machine to run on delay in early morning hours
Cover all exterior hose bibs.
Insulation only buys you time. Temps below freezing for so long without water flow and it will eventually freeze.

Turn off the water then drip faucets.

That’s not how it works.
It can be 35 and if the wind is blowing 30 mph the “feel like” is 22 degrees. But nothing is going to freeze because it’s 35.

Do I drip faucets Friday to Sunday or shut off the water?
If turning off the water is a viable option for you then that’s the best thing you can do. Make sure you still turn the faucets on and leave them open while you are gone.

This is a bullshite take. There are many things that will freeze when it is 35. Certain benzene compounds, acetic acid, certain high grade peanut oils, some toxic metals.
Idiot.

Don’t be so angry. Baseball seasons is here your team is usually pretty good.

leave cabinet doors open
Never understood this in modern houses with insulation. If the inside of your house gets cold enough to freeze pipes inside, opening a cabinet door isn't going to make a difference.

I had to work Wednesday and Thursday. Yesterday morning at 5:20, I went outside to start the cars and run them until they get to operating temp (that way, it takes awhile to get back down to ambient, and by then it's daylight and warming up). I did it before I went to bed, and when I got up. I took a thermometer gun outside, checked temps. *I have 2 guns, I use to check AC output etc. They're within .3 of each other, and on par with the home thermostat. House was set to 70, my floor was 67, 65 in the lower area furthest from the unit. Ceiling in the kitchen was 75.
My driveway and yard were 19 degrees. 19.1 on one, 19.3 on the other. Oh, and yeah, there also was a strong wind from the north, which made it even worse for how it felt, regardless of freeze temp.
Things may or may not happen, but I've seen busted pipes. My neighbor had to replace the waterpump and radiator in a truck after our last freeze, so I've seen that stuff too. I don't want to deal with that, and all it takes is 10 minutes to occasionally run vehicles, and about $10 to run water a few days. If you're up anyway, run the cars, probably less than a dollar total for all three with gas.

I usually turn off my peanut oil at the main on the road when it gets below ~38°. Usually I fill a bathtub with enough oil to hold me for a few days before I turn it off.
