Unfortunate those exist, that does little to help people recover. That would make me want to drink more, that is for sure.

They can smell alcohol, so don’t drink. I usually shoot up marijuana during my meetings.

At my worst point the wife and I would drink 2 fifths of Bacardi per night or 6 bottles of wine when we were "laying off of the hard stuff". I've abused alcohol more than most. Luckily I didn't require meetings to sober up, just a little girl that was getting old enough to realize that her parents were drunks.

To each his own, right. Whatever works for you.


I love the posters that come in here blasting AA threads, reminds me of myself 10 years ago. I just let them tell us we are losers and quitters yadayada.

I know they have the case of the yets in many cases. Those without the yets dont care to even read these threads.

I'm want to attend an AA meeting. I think people in the meeting are going to be mad as hell when they call on me and I say,"hey, everyone... I don't have have a problem, my habits are under control... mostly. I just came to chill out, grab a cup of coffee and munch on some of these stale arse generic Oreos."

I mean when they call you out the jig is up basically. What's the coffee like in AA meetings? I could see where people that are recovering addicts could be coffee snobs in this day and age so I have my hopes up...
