Drain worms in my shower. Help.

Yeah. Gross.
I'm blaming it on the SC flood but these little black worms started showing up in my shower. When I cleaned out the shower drain I noticed the p-trap was dry and this weird cakey substance had built up on the pipe. Also noticed a few cracks in the grout along the edge. Headed to lowes to get a wire brush to get after that pipe and some extra sealant to repair the grout line.
Anything else I can do to get rid of the Old Testament plague happening in my shower?

The shear amount of semen in my shower drain kills all the worms, so I don't have that problem.

Not sure why the p trap would be dry, unless you seldom use the shower...

a dry p-trap would cause me to think it was leaking. A p trap should never be dry, it's all the keeps the sewer gasses from getting into your house.
